President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), Supo Ayokunle, has been re-elected president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
The was made known by Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.
Reverend Ayokunle polled 59 votes to defeat the runner up, Caleb Solomon-Ahima, president, Fellowship of Christian Churches in Nigeria (TEKAN), who polled 44 votes.
According to the CAN constitution,Caleb Solomon-Ahima becomes the vice president of the organisation.
