Four senators have resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Their defections were announced during plenary at the Nigerian Senate, where the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, read their resignation letters.
The lawmakers include Aminu Iya Abbas, who represents Adamawa Central; Amos Yohanna, representing Adamawa North; and Ikra Aliyu Bilbis, who represents Zamfara North.
Also, on March 10, Ipalibo Harry Banigo, the senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, announced her defection from the PDP to the APC.
