A major contender for the Presidency of the incoming ninth Senate, Danjuma Goje has withdrawn from the race.
He has endorsed Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan for the number one seat in the National Assembly.
The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai who disclosed this after meeting behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa Abuja said that Goje has also endorsed Senator Ahmad Lawan for the number one seat in the National Assembly.
Surrounded by Senators Lawan, Goje and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, El-Rufai told State House correspondents that a statement will soon be issued on the development.
