Dr. Benjamin Oluwatosin Olowojebutu is a man of sterling achievements. A well -trained and highly resourceful physician, he is the Founder and Executive Director of the Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation (BOF).

The foundation was birthed and is driven out of the love of Dr. Benjamin Olowojebutu for indigent people suffering from various diseases such as fibroid, lipoma, breast lumps, hydrocele and hernia. The Foundation has conducted over 1800 free surgeries in Nigera in 2019 alone cutting across 20 states of the Federation.

Benjamin who hails from Ekiti State was born on June 13, 1982. He had his primary education at Sanya Primary School, Surulere, Lagos, and his secondary school education at the famous Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Falolu, Surulere, Lagos.

He bagged his MBBS degree in 2006 from the University of Lagos. He also has a diploma in Family Medicine from the Nigerian National Postgraduate Medical College, Ijanikin (2015-2017). He holds certificates in Leadership in International Health Management from the University of Washington, USA and a certificate in Health Executive Leadership Program from the Health Leadership Academy, Lagos.

Dr. Benjamin Olowojebutu has worked in several organisations in different states of Nigeria. He currently works as the Medical Director, Liberty-Life Hospital, Ogudu, Lagos and is the Executive Director and Lead Surgeon of the Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation (BOF).

This man of substance is an Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). He is also a member of the Nigeria Medical Association. He is a recipient of several awards  including the Icon of Excellence Award by the National Association of University Students (2017), Nelson Mandela Lifetime Achievement Award by the African Youth Parliament (2018) and the Rotary Club Selfless Service Award (2018).

Dr. Olowojebutu is a great team player, an excellent communicator and leader. His hobbies are football, photography, reading, mentoring and project planning.

It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the sphere of Human Medicine and Orthodox Medical Practice that Dr.Benjamin Oluwatosin Olowojebutu is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development in Nigeria Merit Award.
