Dr. (Mrs) Patricia  Harry is  a highly accomplished Nigerian woman . She has recorded monumental achievements in the field of Nursing. She has an enviable record of service and is a former Head, Department of Nursing Services of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital. She has also served as Head of the School of Post Basic Nursing of the hospital. She is an acclaimed nurse educator.

Patricia was born on August 20, 1959 in Ngo in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State to the family of Late Mr and Mrs Idaa Wilson Oke.

She qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1983, Registered Midwife in 1987 and a Registered Pediatric Nurse in 1991. She obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology in 2003 and qualified as a Nurse Administrator in 2008. She earned her B.Sc. in Health Education in 2014, Bachelor of Nursing (B.NSc.) in 2015, M.Sc. Nursing Science in 2016, Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2017, M.Sc. Nursing Education in 2018 and PhD, Clinical Psychology in 2018.

Patricia Harry is a member of several professional bodies in Nigeria including the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Forum of Federal Health Institution Nurses and Midwives, Pediatric Nurses Association, Nurse Administrators Forum, Nigerian Association of Health Teachers, Graduate Nursing Association and the Mandatory Continuous Professional Development Programme.

Her enviable academic and professional records have earned her the Nigerian Education Lifetime Achievers Award, Award of Honour from the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students Association (NUNSA) UNIPORT Chapter, and the Award of Honour from School of Health Information Management, UPTH. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration and a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development.

This woman of great achievements is happily married to Chief (Hon.) G.N.H. Ekprikpo (Jp) and the union is blessed with two sons. Her hobbies are teading, listening, teaching, learning and cooking.

It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the sphere of Nursing that Dr. Mrs. Patricia  Harry is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award.
