Mr Olatunji Kelvin Johnson is a long-standing director  of Nigeria’s first corporate cleaning firm, Nigeria Cleaning Service Ltd. For decades, he has served the company and he is an integral part of the success story of the outfit which is a huge success story in itself.

Olatunji was born on August 19, 1967. He started his academic career from Lycee Bilique de Buea, Cameroun for a Certificate in French & English in 1982. He then proceeded to Nigerian Army Command Secondary School Ibadan (CSSI) where he obtained his O’ Level Certificate in 1986. At CSSI, he was the Social Prefect of the 1986 set. He was also a Cadet Officer. Today, he is the Financial Secretary of CSSI Old Students Association. He is also the Treasurer of the ’86 set.

After his secondary school, he went for a Diploma course at Alliance Francais where he obtained a Certificate D’etude Francais Pratique & Diploma D’etude de Langue Francais in 1990. From there, he went to University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) for a B.A. in French & Portuguese and was working for Nigeria Cleaning Service Limited at the same time.

In year 2000, he attended a Certificate Course in Company Direction at Lagos Business School and also FM 101 IFMA at International Facility Management Association.

He is currently the Director of Operations of the premier of all cleaning companies in Nigeria – Nigeria Cleaning Service Limited which later transformed into facility managers with its group of managers and technicians situated at Cleanjohn House, 90 Ladipo Street, Matori Industrial Estate, Mushin, Lagos. He worked from the ranks up and now he employs over 2000 workers, with some ex- Commandos on board as well in various cadre.

He is in charge of operations/procurement of cleaning equipment and he directs the Procurement and Logistics Department. He also supervises the company’s account books, reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Board of Directors.

He is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Nigeria Chapter and the Institute of Directors of Nigeria.

He is married with three lovely children.

It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the sphere of Residential, Corporate and Industrial Cleaning Services that Mr. Olatunji Kelvin Johnson is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development in Nigeria Merit Award.
