Mrs Priscilla Okechukwu is a distinguished software engineer. She uses her skill and expertise to empower women and the youth by training them in ICT packages that would enhance their resourcefulness in entrepreneurial endeavours. She is the Chief Operating Officer of Pixaweb Technologies, an institute which provides ICT solutions to companies and trains individuals in the field.

Mrs Okechukwu is a passionate educator. She imparts her knowledge by organizing workshops to empower people with digital skills. She facilitated the Intel Shewillconnect Programme in 2017 whose aim was to raise 2000 women and youth entrepreneurs.

At the Nigerian Women in Technology Conference, 2017,  she organised a workshop where she taught coding using App Inventor and website development using HTML, CSS, PHP and WordPress. She  also facilitated the Connak Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme in partnership with Inspire Africa in 2018.

Passionate about the younger generation, she anchors YouthGODigital, a coding camp for youths. She partners with schools to teach students how to code using Scratch programming and Microsoft’s Kodu. She has mentored young girls at Vivian Fowler Secondary School and Greatheart Private School in ‘technovation’ programs.

She is highly skilled in  ICT. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional who is certified in many areas including Network Essentials and Microsoft NT Server 4.0. She is also a Proclarity Implementation and Administration Certified Professional. She has practical knowledge in many branches of ICT among which are Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) for Business Intelligence, building of Data Warehouses and Data Marts using SSIS and SSAS, coding in Python, Prolog and Scratch, and building mobile applications.

Mrs Priscilla Okechukwu was a Business Intelligence analyst and consultant in Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) from 2006 till 2008. She also worked as a team lead software engineer in InfoSoft Nigeria Limited from 2003 till 2005.

She embarked on her journey towards a career in software engineering when she obtained her National Diploma (OND) with Upper Credit at Akanu-Ibiam Federal Polytechnic. She then proceeded to the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, where she bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. With deep love for her profession, she then headed to the University of Lagos to earn a degree in Systems Engineering.

Born in March 13, 1977, Mrs Okechukwu is happily married. Her hobbies include singing, reading novels and playing lawn tennis.

It is in acknowledgement of her contribution to national development in the field of Information and Communication Technology that Mrs Priscilla Ngozi Okechukwu is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award.
