Mrs. Ifedolapo Runsewe is a uniquely creative, innovative, resourceful and industrious Nigerian woman. She is a veritable woman of enterprise and she represents an exclusive crop of a new generation of Nigerians who are working to creatively expand the frontiers of industrial production in their country.

Ifedolapo Runsewe is the pioneer Managing Director of Freetown Waste Management Recycle Limited, a leading recycling and manufacturing company in Nigeria.

Freetown Waste was founded in 2018. Since then, the company has grown into a multi-billion firm boasting of a five (5) acre ultra-modern facility in Apata, Ibadan which hosts a 5,000 tonne per annum Tyre Recycling, Rubber Tile & Mat Moulding Manufacturing Plant and a vocational skill training centre.

Prior to forming Freetown Waste in 2018, Mrs. Runsewe had garnered over a decade experience in various sectors spanning banking and telecommunications in Nigeria and overseas where she served in various capacities including as the Branch Service Manager in one of the prestigious banking institutions in Nigeria

Ifedolapo Runsewe’s working life began as a Youth Corp Member serving with DVCF Oil and Gas Plc in Lagos in the year 2008. She later worked with Airtel Nigeria as a Call Centre/Customer Care Representative.

She worked with Zenith Bank Plc for four years before joining Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. She was the Acting Head of Operations of the Wilberforce Branch of GTBank in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Between October, 2015 and June, 2018, Mrs. Runsewe was Assistant Branch Manager of the Aguda, Surulere, Lagos Branch of Access Bank. She became Branch Service Manager of the Ojuelegba, Lagos branch of the same bank in June 2018.

Ifedolapo has been actively involved in various philanthropic endeavours. She partnered with institutions such as Balaah Hope Initiative for Child Adolescent Health Limited GTE, a non-profit and non-government organization born out of the passion to educate and advocate health services for adolescents, as well as facilitate the improvement of the lives of the Nigerian child.

Mrs. Runsewe is an indigene of Ogun State. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Madonna University in Anambra State in 2007. She thereafter proceeded to obtain a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos, Lagos State.

She is a Student Member of the Project Management Institute and a Designated Compliance Professional (DCP) of the Compliance Institute of Nigeria. She also holds a Diploma Certificate in Project Management from IBMI Berlin.

It is in recognition of her contribution to national development in the sphere of Innovative Waste Management (Recycled Rubber Manufacturing) that Mrs. Ifedolapo Runsewe was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award which is part of the 21st PSR National Awards.
