The Nigeria Police Force has unsealed the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja, restoring access to a faction aligned with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Factional chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed said the move followed court orders and covers both Wadata Plaza and Legacy House. He confirmed the takeover by his National Working Committee, with Samuel Anyanwu recognised as National Secretary.
Mohammed praised the police for professionalism, warning against any disruption and urging members to unite after the party’s internal crisis.
The secretariat had been sealed in November 2025 after clashes between rival factions.
However, a faction loyal to Tanimu Turaki rejected the action. Spokesman Ini Ememobong said the ruling cited is under appeal and warned the move could affect the case, alleging possible bias.
He urged members to remain peaceful, expressing hope the crisis would be resolved.
