
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the list of senatorial aspirants not cleared to participate in its forthcoming Senate primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The list, made public by the party, includes aspirants from several states across the country, including Adamawa, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, FCT, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Yobe and Zamfara.
Among those not cleared are former Bayelsa East senator, Ben Murray-Bruce; former Rivers deputy governor, Ipalibo Banigo; and businessman Tein Jack-Rich.
Others on the list include Hon. Hamish Idris and Hon. Abdurman Kwacham (Adamawa), Chimzobam Kingsley Nnalue (Anambra), Daniel Effiong Asuquo and Oden Ibiang O Ewa (Cross River), Dr. Marian Nnamaka Ogoh-Ali (Delta), Sen. Usman J. Wowo and Abubakar Umar Abdullahi (FCT).
Also listed are several aspirants from Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers and Zamfara states.
The APC said the affected aspirants were not cleared to contest in the party’s Senate primary elections.
