Former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Musa Daura, has been selected as the running mate to Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate Seyi Makinde for the 2027 general election.
Makinde announced Daura’s selection at the party’s National Convention in Bauchi, where new party officials were also elected.
Daura joined the APM days after leaving the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He replaces Ibrahim Adamu Bala, who had previously been announced as Makinde’s running mate in an interim arrangement pending the party convention.
