His clinical interests encompass mood disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, addiction, adolescent mental health, and other psychiatric conditions, with a professional approach centred on accurate assessment, personalised treatment, and long-term recovery.

As the Founder and Director of Hakron Specialist Care Center Ltd., established in 2017 in Oshodi, Lagos, Dr. Akinloye has developed a specialist mental health practice offering outpatient psychiatric consultations, counselling, psychotherapy, addiction treatment, and other mental health services. The centre serves patients experiencing a broad range of psychological and behavioural challenges, providing a setting where clinical assessment and therapeutic support can be coordinated to meet individual needs. His practice also encompasses attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism-related support needs, behavioural and academic difficulties among young people, dementia, and late-life depression. In addiction care, he focuses on treatment, relapse prevention, and supporting patients through the recovery process.

His therapeutic expertise includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), family therapy, crisis intervention, and other psychiatric treatment approaches. He also has experience in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), disability certification, and medico-legal assessments. By drawing on a range of clinical methods, he seeks to ensure that treatment is guided by individual assessment, appropriate clinical indications, and the specific needs of each patient.

These experiences contributed to his development in clinical assessment, psychiatric diagnosis, patient management, and multidisciplinary healthcare delivery.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, obtained in 2004, and a postgraduate qualification in psychiatry from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in 2016. He completed his housemanship at Delta State Central Hospital in 2006 and has undertaken further professional development in addiction medicine. His research interests include the relationship between psychiatric conditions and other medical illnesses. In 2016, he published research on the prevalence of mental health disorders among patients living with HIV and tuberculosis through the Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. This work reflects the importance of integrating mental healthcare into broader health services, particularly for people managing complex or chronic medical conditions.
