Pharm. Mobolaji Ajayi is a pioneering force in Africa’s health-tech and pharmaceutical landscape, transforming how everyday Nigerians access primary healthcare. As the Founder and Group CEO of Purelife Health with its subsidiaries, Purelife Pharmacy, Transcend Pharma and Carehub, Mobolaji leads one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing hybrid healthcare enterprises. Her bold vision is simple yet radical: to make healthcare affordable, accessible, and continuous, regardless of income, geography, or system failures.

With a background in pharmacy (B.Pharm, University of Lagos), an MBA from the United Kingdom, and a Master’s in Public Health from the United States, Mobolaji blends clinical expertise with strategic foresight. Her journey was inspired by a personal experience with delayed recovery due to inaccessible primary care. That moment ignited a lifelong mission to close health access gaps through innovation, empathy, and systems thinking.

Under her leadership, Purelife Health has grown from a single brick and mortar outlet into a national brand with a strong phygital model (physical + digital). From over-the-counter consultations to home care and care delivery via the CareHub One Minute Clinic, the enterprise has served over 550,000 clients and processed thousands of special-order medications across 18 states in Nigeria. Mobolaji Ajayi is a member of the Pharma West Africa Leaders Club , an alumni of the Stanford Seed Business School Transformation Program, a fellow of the SGWIT USA Fellowship for Women and a recipient of the Global Women CEO Award Recipient amongst others.

Pharm. Mobolaji is also the creator of the groundbreaking CareHub One MinuteClinic model, which reimagines the pharmacy as more than a place for drug dispensing. CareHubs now serve as mini primary care centers offering diagnostic services, teleconsultations, triage support, medication therapy management, and preventive screenings, reducing misdiagnoses, promoting early detection, and combating the rise of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Some recognitions and awards of hers include being a top 10 Finalist at Africa’s Business Heroes Prize (2024), selected from over 20,000 applicants across the continent. She also led Purelife to become one of the Top 100 SMEs in Nigeria by Business Day and was also shortlisted for Acceler8 Africa Accelerator Program and Investing in Innovation Program amongst others.

Today, Mobolaji stands at the forefront of healthcare access innovation, redefining the role of pharmacies from simple retail points to decentralized primary care hubs. Her work is shaping what the future of African healthcare looks like: smart, personalized, and community-rooted.

Her vision is bold: a healthcare ecosystem where no Nigerian dies from preventable causes, where care meets people where they are, not where systems hope they’ll be.

It is in recognition of her Sterling Accomplishments in Pharmacy and Healthcare Services in Nigeria that Pharm. Mobolaji Ajayi is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award.
