Nigeria has recorded 648 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 41,180.
The latest figures were disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official twitter handle.

COVID-19 cases were confirmed in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A breakdown of the new infections confirmed are: Lagos-180, Plateau -148, FCT- 44; Ondo-42; Kwara- 38; Rivers -32; Oyo – 29; Kaduna – 21; and Osun- 20.
Edo had 17 new cases; Ogun – 17; Ekiti-11; Kano -9; Benue – 9; Delta – 9; Abia- 9; Niger – 7; Gombe- 3; Borno – 1; Bauchi – 1 and Imo -1.
860 people have died due to complications from the COVID-19 virus in Nigeria while 18,203 people have recovered.
