Most prisoners escaped this Monday morning from the Benin Prisons along Sapele Road as hoodlums broke into the facility to set inmates free.
The hoodlums took advantage of the ongoing protests in the city to break down a part of the fence around the prison premises to gain entrance.
In videos circulating via Twitter, the prisoners were shown jumping out. Some were seen thanking the hoodlums for setting them free.
