Oprah Winfrey has faithfully been following the Weight Watchers eating program for a year, and the legendary talk show host wants to celebrate her remarkable weight loss in an unexpected way.
The 62-year-old revealed that she would like her longtime partner Stedman Graham, 65, to pick her up and carry her to the pool now that she is sporting a trimmer figure — a fantasy that was inspired by a sexy scene from her network’s new original drama series Queen Sugar.
‘I’ve lost enough weight; he can pick me up and carry me to the pool,’ she told People. ‘I can straddle him without breaking his back.’
Oprah started Weight Watchers last August, just two months before she revealed she became a stockholder and a spokesperson for the program.
Although she has yet to reveal her total weight loss thus far, the media mogul announced in January that she had already lost 26lbs while following the program.
At her heaviest, the self-proclaimed ‘food addict’ weighed 237lbs, and while she has struggled with yo-yo dieting in the past, Oprah seems to have found a regimen that she can finally stick to.
Over the past year, Oprah has gushed repeatedly about how the program’s points system allows her to enjoy bread and alcohol without any regret or guilt.
‘For me, me this is not a diet. It is a whole shift in perspective,’ she wrote in the January issue of O magazine. ‘So yes, for sure, I’m a bona fide convert.’
Oprah has clearly been exercising and following her ‘smartpoints’ over the past few months. During a June 9 annual health check-up, Oprah revealed on Instagram that her cholesterol was 180 and her LDL cholesterol was 82.
And while her dream of Stedman carrying to the pool may seem unusual, it actually came to her while she and her best friend Gayle King were watching an episode of Queen Sugar and discussing Dawn-Lyen Gardner’s character Charley Bordelon West.
The two-time Oscar nominee could not keep her hands off the dapper 22-year-old actor, who plays Ralph Angel Bordelon on the New Orleans-set drama series.
The 6ft2in Awkward actor looked sharp in his black pin-striped suit and maroon necktie as he and his boss posed together on the Warner Bros. Studio Lot.
Queen Sugar, which premieres September 6 and 7 on OWN, centers on three Bordelon siblings who reunite after inheriting their family’s sugarcane farm.
Oprah co-created the series — which is based on Natalie Baszile’s 2014 novel — alongside her Selma director, Ava DuVernay.
The 44-year-old Golden Globe nominee helmed two of the 13 episodes, and the Mississippi-born billionaire definitely approved of the sex scenes.
‘You want to be that person. It hits a sensual nerve,’ Oprah told EW of another sex scene from the series. ‘He is unhooking her bra, and you’re like, “Woah!”
‘I’m like, “I’m going to get Stedman to unhook my bra and see what happens. Put your hand in my panty hose and let’s see what happens.”’
