Nigeria on monday recorded 296 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the 204,752.
12 new deaths were also recorded bringing the number of deaths to COVID-19 complications in the country to 2,689.
The latest figures were disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its website.
Rivers state recorded the highest number of new infections with 63 new cases, followed by Lagos with 49 new cases and the FCT with 47 new cases.
Others are Osun (37), Edo (29), Plateau (18), Gombe (14), Nasarawa (12), Delta (10), Benue (5), Kano (5), Bayelsa (3), Oyo (2), Bauchi (1), and Ekiti (1).
