Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba has ordered the immediate redeployment of some the top brass of the Nigeria Police. This is according to Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday,
Officers affected include Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Commissioners of Police. These redeployments according to Adejobi are awaiting the approval of the Police Service Commission, PSC.
Among the top officers redeployed are DIG Danmallam Mohammed, Hafiz Inuwa, Aji Janga, Adeleke Bode, Habu Ahmadu and Shuaya’u Abdulyari. Nine officers are also awaiting redeployment to different formations as Commissioners of Police.
The statement also revealed that the redeployment of erstwhile Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba and Mr Ldowu Owohunwa as Commissioners of Police for Ogun and Lagos states respectively are awaiting the approval of the PSC’
