Mrs Ruth Marie Olomu is a woman of many parts. She has had success in every endeavour she has engaged in. She is at once a lawyer, an administrator and an educator.

As Founder and School Director of Dawnfield Montessori School, Lagos, she is making a huge impact in Early Childhood Education.

Ruth Olomu attended the prestigious University of Benin, where she obtained a Bachelor of Law degree. She then proceeded to the Nigeria Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1998. She later bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Port Harcourt.

She has attended several short courses, seminars, and exhibitions both locally and internationally in business management and in the field of education.

Mrs. Olomu has had diverse work experiences including as the Company Legal Secretary and Deputy Head of Chambers at the Law Firm of Uzamere & Co. She was Executive Assistant at Vesta Healthcare Partners and Service Manager at Outreach Group. She was the pioneer Foundation Manager at Anu Dosekun Healthcare Foundation.  At Anu Dosekun Foundation, she successfully managed the first-ever Jaundice in Babies Awareness campaign in sub-Saharan Africa which Heineken Africa Foundation, Amsterdam sponsored.

Ruth Olomu’s work at Outreach and the Foundation helped nurture her love for working with children, and the vision for Dawnfield Montessori School was borne.

She believes that early childhood education is the foundation for a child’s journey through life, and the child at this stage should be imparted with quality education and imbibed with a deep sense of noble virtues that will guide the child through life.

She is currently the Chief Executive Officer / School Director of Dawnfield Montessori School, Lagos. She is a Christian and a mother who enjoys reading and listening to gospel music.

It was in recognition of her contribution to nation building in the area of Development, Management and Delivery of Quality Education in Nigeria that Mrs Ruth Marie Olomu was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award.
