Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Jandor announced his decision on Monday during a media briefing at Liberty Place, Ikeja, Lagos, alongside his supporters. His return to the APC follows a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock, Abuja, last week, where undisclosed issues were discussed.
Before his meeting with Tinubu, Jandor also held talks with key political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former military President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, and 2023 Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo.
He previously resigned from the PDP, citing indiscipline, anti-party activities, and betrayal by the party leadership ahead of the Lagos governorship election. He also accused the PDP of misleading supporters with false claims of an alliance that ultimately benefited another candidate.
