The Nigerian Exchange Limited has officially extended its daily trading hours, with the market now operating from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The new schedule, which took effect on Monday, April 27, 2026, replaces the previous 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. trading window, adding over three hours to daily market activity.

In a statement, the exchange said the change marks a shift toward a more flexible and responsive trading environment, giving investors additional time to react to market developments.

The extension, approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission, is expected to boost market liquidity, improve price discovery, and enhance overall efficiency.
