The leadership of the Nigerian Senate says it would be difficult for the legislature to maintain a cordial working relationship with the executive arm of government going by the list of looters recently released by the Federal government.

The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki stated this over the weekend while speaking at a retreat on ‘Strengthening Executive-Legislators Relations’ which was held in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

He said it was wrong for the executive arm of government, through the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed to call members of another arm of government looters of the nation’s treasury.

His words: “In a situation where a particular arm of government stands up and calls people from another arm of government thieves, looters and other names, how can we work together? How?”

“It is not possible. It is not realistic. If we collaborate, the country would be better for it,” he added.
