The Police Service Commission has named seven new Deputy Inspector Generals to replace recently retired ones in the management of the Nigeria Police Force. Also named is a new Assistant Inspector General as the Force Secretary.

A statement released by the Force Headquarters yesterday gave the names of the officerrs and their positions as:

  1. AIG Shuaibu Gambo                  —           DIG, Department of Finance and Administration
  2. CP Joshak Habila                       —           DIG, Department of Operations
  3. CP Maigari Abbati Dikko          —          DIG, Department of Logistics and Supply
  4. CP H.M. Dagala                          —          DIG, Department of FCIID
  5. CP Emmanuel Inyang               —          DIG, Department of Training and Development
  6. CP Ntom Chukwu                      —          DIG, Department of Research and Planning
  7. CP Folusho Adebanjo               —           DIG, Department of ICT
  8. CP Abdul Bube                           —          AIG Force Secretary

The statement cited the Honourable Chairman of the Commission, Sir (Dr) Mike Okiro as saying that the promotion letters of the officers with follow in due course.
