American actor, film maker and philanthropist, George Clooney and wife, Amal on Tuesday welcomed a set of twins into their family, more than two years after they were united in marriage.

According to the actor’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, the babies, Ella and Alexander were born at the £8,000-a-night Kensington Wing of London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Tuesday morning.

The 56-year-old George got married to Amal, a 39-year-old human rights attorney in September 2014 in Venice.

George Clooney, a multiple Golden Globe and Academy Awards winner best known for his  role in the block-buster movie, “Ocean’s Eleven,” was included in Time Magazine as one of the “Most Influential People In The World” in 2009.

George’s parents, Nick and Nina Clooney were full of praises for Amal whom they described as a “super woman” after they met their newest grandchildren over Skype within hours of their birth.

“Nina swears they have George’s nose. I don’t know what that means. She says it’s the little boy, that sounds like a grandmother to me,” gushed Nick.

“Alma is just amazing. She was guiding the narration, this is two hours after the babies were born and she was in charge of the conversation. She was just great,” Nick, the 83-year-old journalist added.
