The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai alongside his deputy, Mr. Barnabas Yusuf-Bala on Tuesday led a rally to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
Accompanied by a large crowd of admirers and supporters of the President, El-Rufai and his deputy who rode in a motorcade took the Race Course Road to the Independence Way from where they marched to Yakubu Gowon / Ahmadu Bello Way before proceeding to the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House. From there, they returned to their take-off point, the Murtala Mohammed Square where the Governor addressed the crowd.
The supporters, mainly youths, displayed posters of President Buhari while others wore T-shirts and caps with the President’s portrait carrying various inscriptions, one of which read: “Baba Buhari, Oyoyo (Baba Buhari, Welcome)”.
In his address, Governor El-Rufai expressed his support for the President and advised the youth to do the same as according to him, no amount of blackmail or distraction could derail the Federal Government’s programmes which mean well for all Nigerian citizens.
