Leader of the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has said another Biafran radio station will be opened in Germany as part of activities to mark 18 years of the founding of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

In a statement signed by Mazi Chris Mocha, the group’s spokesperson and made available to newsmen in Onitsha, Anambra State on Monday, Uwazuruike stated that the celebration of the birth of MASSOB will take place in Onitsha on September 13.

He revealed that the official opening of the station, the Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) which will commence broadcast on short wave (SW) band this week, will be the main feature of the celebrations.

“The radio station will be the authentic voice of the Biafran people and always educate, inform and enlighten our people on the issue of Biafra and not to spread hate messages or blackmail,” Uwazuruike said in the statement.
