Nigeria’s Vice Presient, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has distanced himself from a group known as ‘Osinbajo Volunteers’ which has started campaigning for his emergence as the country’s president in 2019.

The group, whose activities are published on its website and which is currently recruiting volunteers for the project, however admitted that the Vice President was not aware of their campaign activities.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande disclaimed the group on Sunday in a post he made on his Twitter social media account.

“Please disregard this website created by faceless people for mischievous purposes. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Vice President,” the tweet said.
