Following his last week resignation from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has begun consultations with leaders of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Waziri Adamawa on Friday met with executives and leaders of the party in his ward in Adamawa State and engaged them in what was described as ‘fruitful deliberations.’

On Saturday, he held a meeting with all the state chairmen of the PDP in the six states that make up the North-East region, with the Vice Chairman of the PDP in the region, Ambassador Emmanuel Njiwah in attendance.

Following successful discussions, it was agreed at the meeting that Atiku would be meeting with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party before the end of the week, a meeting expected to be spearheaded by the party’s stakeholders from the north-east.
