Mr Lai Omotola is a uniquely resourceful entrepreneur, a consummate engineer and an eminently creative infrastructure developer.

He is an alumnus of the prestigious and globally-acknowledged Harvard University, an MBA graduate of the Lagos Business School and a graduate of Electrical Engineering of the University of Lagos. He is a qualified associate of Cisco and Microsoft.

Omotola began his career as an investment officer at First City Merchant Bank in 1998. He founded Next Technology Nigeria Limited in 1999 and became the Chief Technical Strategist of same company. He later set up Confederated Facilitators Limited, a financial intermediary company that later became CFL Group with 15 subsidiaries.

He is the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of CFL Group, a foremost infrastructure company with a diversified project portfolio.

As an engineer, he has been part of various projects ranging from the Lagos Light Rail, Tejuoso Market, Alade Mall, Marina Car Park, Captive Power Generation, Oil and Gas Downstream, Nigeria Local Content and various real estate projects across Lagos.

He is a seminar speaker and advocate of social transformation. He has been involved with Ebootcamp, Artisan Village, Exportwise, Minespower and  is the Publisher of Infrawatch.

It is in recognition of his contribution to national development in the sphere of Entrepreneurship & Business Management that Mr Lai Omotola is deemed worthy to be conferred with the Development in Nigeria Merit Award which is part of the 2017 PSR National Awards.
