
Justice Mohamed L. Garba has been appointed to replace Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa of the Court of Appeal as the Chairman of the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Justice Garba , who is the Presiding Justice of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal appeared on the five- man panel for the first time on Monday.
Justice Bulkachuwa had recused herself from the panel on May 22 following an allegation of likelihood of bias levelled against her by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the February 23 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The PDP, alongside three other parties are challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Congress (APC) at the presidential poll.
