The Federal Government has alleged that the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has the support of the Iranian government to establish an Islamic State in Nigeria.
The Federal Government made the claim in a counter-affidavit it filed against the Islamist sect’s motion challenging the Federal High Court’s order of July 26 which proscribed the group and its activities.
Justice Nkeonye Maha of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court which issued the proscription order also fixed September 11, 2019 for the hearing of the motion filed by Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) on behalf of IMN.
