The Supreme Court on Wednesday affirmed the election of Governor Oluseyi Makinde as the duly elected governor of Oyo State.
Seyi Makinde contested the March 9 gubernatorial election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party. The All Progressive Congress candidate, Adebayi Adelabu had contested the results of the election at the Oyo State Election Appeal Tribunal and at the Court of Appeal.
Today’s judgement was delivered by Justice Ukaego Mary Peter-Odili CFR who presided over the Oyo State Election Appeal at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
