A 3-storey building which houses shops and residential apartments has collapsed this afternoon in Ebute Metta, Lagos.
Many persons are trapped in the rubbles of the collapsed building.
The Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Omolola Essien, however said that no casualty has been recorded. He tweeted:
Presently at the scene of the collapsed 3-storey building at Cemetery Street, Ebute Metta.
All concerned agencies are on ground and working to ensure the safety of all.

Lagos State Emergency Management Agency officials have cordoned off the area and have commenced rescue operations.
