Nigeria on the 5th of April recorded 135 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
This brings the total number of infections recorded in the country since the index case was reported to 163,330.
The latest figures were disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official twitter handle.

151,998 of the 163,330 confirmed cases have been discharged and 2,058 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
