The Nigerian Federal Government has set up and approved a team to engage with microblogging and social networking site, Twitter over the recent suspension placed on the company’s operations in the country.
The approval was announced in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who will chair the team.
President Muhammadu Buhari approved the composition of the team to undertake the assignment with immediate effect.
The Nigerian Government’s team comprises the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Goefrey Onyema, Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo as well as other relevant government agencies.
