Lolita Ejiofor is a vastly experienced project manager with sound knowledge of the global digital space.
For over 20 years, she has delivered solutions to a wide spectrum of industries including banking, transport, UK Government and retail. She has a wealth of experience with the ever challenging role of planning, managing and executing projects. She has been responsible and accountable for the co-ordinated management of multiple related projects directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives.
In addition to the above, Lolita has built credibility, established rapport, and maintained communications with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organizations she has worked for. This has been key to her confidence and reputation.
Lolita Ejiofor currently works as General Manager and Group Head of IT & Resources at Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc which is one of Nigeria’s leading mortgage banks.
In this role, the highly cerebral Lolita is responsible for overseeing all digital banking platforms and tech innovations. She also ensures that the bank’s People Process and Technology align with all regulatory compliances of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
She constantly reviews and updates all of the bank’s existing digital workflows and ensures controls are fully functional and meet the bank’s Information Security policies and procedures.
Mrs. Ejiofor also has the responsibility of ensuring multi-levelled and inter departmental engagements to understand business requirements and ensure the bank’s effectiveness in its responses. Seeking out and engagement of potential executive alliances/partners for synergized partnership and performance leverage is also one of the core responsibilities of Lolita Ejiofor at Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc.
Before her current position, she was Assistant General Manager, Business Systems Review & Compliance. She was in that role from April, 2013 to July, 2020.
Currently, her core deliverable, is what she finds energizing and rewarding. The word “Resources” was added to her job tittle to give her unlimited scope for review and positive improvements within the bank.
Lolita has a B.Sc in Business Administration from Huron University, USA. She graduated in 1995 and had the honour of being on the National Deans List for that year. She also earned an MSc. in Information Management from the University of Westminster, UK.
Lolita Ejiofor is an ISO 27001 (Information Security) Lead Implementer. She has over 20 years of PRINCE II Certified Project Management experience. She is an Honorary Member of the Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and a Member of the Association of Project Management.
Lolita has lived and worked in the UK, USA and Singapore. She held an IT Project Manager role for seven years at Fujitsu Services Ltd UK. This gave her exposure to complex and sensitive projects which demand integrity, attention to details and ownership as a mantra.
Today, her first passion is leadership and mentoring, especially as a returnee to Nigeria where colleagues are eager to learn and be inspired by progressive changes.
It is in recognition of her contribution to national development in the sphere of Strategic Leadership and Business Management that Mrs. Lolita Ejiofor was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award which is part of the 2021 PSR National Awards.
