It is another tale of gruesome killing in Imo State. The sole Administrator of Ideato North Local Government Area, Hon. Chris Ohizu who was recently abducted by unknown gunmen has reportedly been beheaded.

Ohizu who was abducted last Friday was beheaded by his captors on Sunday after they demanded and received a ransom in the sum of N6million. Apparently to make the killing more sadistic, the killers posted videos of his beheading on his WhatsApp status so his friends and relations would watch it.

An eye witness who watched the video said the Sole Administrator was stripped naked and beheaded naked. While the beheading was going on, they boasted that there would be no elections in Nigeria this year.

The spokesman of the Imo State Police Command, Mr Henry Okoye has confirmed the development to reporters. He however said that investigations were ongoing.

Hon. Ohizu was kidnapped with two other persons after the gunmen had set his residence at Imoko Community in Ideato North Local Government Area ablaze. Reports had it that he was shot before being whisked away.
