President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a meeting with former governors Nyesom Wike, Dave Umahi, and Godswill Akpabio at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The former governors arrived at 3:33 pm but experienced a brief delay as security sought clearance for their visit.
Wike and Umahi separately met with President Tinubu at the state house last Friday. Wike was accompanied by James Ibori and Seyi Makinde, while Umahi was accompanied by Senator George Akume.
Wike expressed his support for President Tinubu during his previous visit. Akpabio is the preferred candidate for the Senate President position, and Umahi is a Senator-elect.
There are unconfirmed reports that Wike may be considered for a ministerial position due to his role in the February 25 presidential election, despite being a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
