The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, bringing relief to over 1.94 million candidates who registered and sat for the examination across the nation.
The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced at a press conference held at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday, April 29th, 2024. The examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19th, concluded on the day of the announcement.
Explaining the delayed release, Oloyede highlighted the board’s commitment to meticulously scrutinizing the results to ensure credibility and integrity. This meticulous approach aimed to address potential concerns or ambiguities surrounding the results, particularly regarding issues such as impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractice.
