Senator representing Osun East, Francis Fadahunsi, has arrived at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo for questioning over alleged inciting comments ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

Fadahunsi arrived at about 2:35 p.m. on Wednesday, accompanied by the Commissioner of Police in charge of election and security, Samuel Erale.

The senator was invited following allegations arising from a viral video in which he was accused of directing his supporters to “kill” members of the Accord Party, whose governorship candidate is incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The police had earlier warned political actors against making inflammatory statements capable of heightening tension ahead of the election.
