Nigerian Army troops operating under Operation Hadin Kai, alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested two suspected logistics suppliers to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, September 8, following intelligence on the movement of supplies believed to be destined for terrorists operating around the Yunusari-Mobbar axis.

Troops of 159 Battalion intercepted the suspected consignment in the Gumsa area and arrested two civilians identified as 50-year-old Mala Mustapha and 40-year-old Massa Aliyu, both from Asaye village in Damasak. Preliminary investigations indicated that they allegedly purchased motorcycle spare parts for terrorist elements in the area.

The operation led to the recovery of dozens of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, chains, sprockets, piston kits, bearings, brake components and other spare parts, as well as 145 pairs of footwear. Security forces also recovered three mobile phones and ₦3,200 in cash. The suspects and recovered items have been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation as the military intensifies efforts to disrupt terrorist logistics networks in the North-East.
