A handbag made by the luxury fashion brand, Hermès, was auctioned in Hong Kong yesterday for $300,168 which is equivalent to about 100 million naira.
The Matte Himalayan Nilo Crocodile Birkin bag, as the name suggests, was crafted from the skin of an albino Niloticus crocodile which is extremely rare. The bag-maker also used a very difficult dyeing process to give the bag a feel of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains.
The Birkin bag has a cadena lock which is made of 68.4 grams of 18 Carat white gold and encrusted with 245 diamonds of about 1.64 Carats.
The masterpiece was purchased by an anonymous Asian collector.
