The Nigeria Labour Congress has suspended its warning strike which began on Thursday, September 27.
NLC’s National President, Ayuba Wabba announced the suspension of the strike while briefing journalists at the Labour House in Abuja.
Wabba said Labour had extracted a firm commitment from the Federal Government that the Tripartite Committee of the Minimum Wage Committee will reconvene on October 4.
What is uncertain however is whether all the bodies which form organized labour in Nigeria have accepted to suspend the strike.
