A Sunday night factory fire has reportedly killed 19 people in Ninghai County, eastern China. Authorities on Monday said the deadly incident is the latest to hit the country’s industrial sector.
This is coming ahead of the country’s 70th-anniversary celebrations on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident, the Zhejiang province local government said on its official Twitter-like Weibo account that the incident, which is under investigation occurred at a facility owned by the Ruiqi Daily Necessities Company.
It added that among eight people rescued from the fire, three were injured and have been transported to an unnamed hospital for medical treatment.
