A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered the temporary forfeiture of 23 property allegedly linked to the former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina.
The presiding judge, Justice Folashade Giwa-Ogunbanjo gave the order while ruling on an ex parte motion for interim forfeiture filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The affected property were listed in a schedule attached to the motion, which the lawyer to the anti-graft agency, Mohammed Abubakar argued on Tuesday.
The judge also ordered the EFCC to publish the order in The Nation newspapers to enable interested parties show cause why the property should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.
