The Federal Government has confirmed five new cases of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire confirmed the cases during a press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said that three of the victims came from the United States of America including a mother and her child while two others also from the US include an American who came via the nation’s land border.
This brings the number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Nigeria to eight.
The Federal Government had earlier announced a travel ban on 13 countries considered high risk due to their number of Coronavirus infections.
