Nigeria has recorded 296 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 53,317.
The latest figures were disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official twitter handle on Thursday night:

Lagos remains the epicentre of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria with 18,056 total number of confirmed cases. It is followed by the FCT and Oyo with 5,094 and 3,091 recorded cases respectively.
