Bandits have reportedly kidnapped 33 people and killed a driver at Kachia in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The reports indicate that the incident occurred late at night on Wednesday, June 23, when the hoodlums invaded Kachia town.
District Head of Kachia ward, Idris Suleiman confirmed the incident when security operatives led by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan visited the area.
He disclosed that the gunmen kidnaped five people at the bakery before moving to another area called Mother Cat where they also kidnapped 28 persons including a pregnant woman.
Kaduna has in recent times experienced a spike in bandits’ attacks with many people being killed and others including including students of various tertiary institutions being kidnapped.
