The Federal Government has appointed Dr. John Nwabueze as Nigeria’s new Tax Ombudsman under the Joint Revenue Board of Nigeria Act, 2025.
The appointment, announced on Monday, is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s broader tax and revenue reform agenda aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and fairness in Nigeria’s fiscal administration.
Dr. Nwabueze, who hails from Oshimili South in Delta State, brings decades of experience spanning both the public and private sectors.
