President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their goodwill messages and support as he marked his 74th birthday.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the President thanked citizens for their prayers, patriotism, and solidarity with his administration, noting that their continued backing remains vital to the government’s efforts.
He also acknowledged individuals and groups who celebrated him through newspaper publications and broadcast messages, describing their gestures as deeply appreciated.
The President extended special gratitude to the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for her kind words, as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima for his tribute.
Tinubu said he chose to mark the occasion in a low-key manner, in line with the current national mood.
Reflecting on his administration’s journey, the President noted that despite challenges, including global pressures linked to the Middle East crisis, ongoing reforms are beginning to yield positive results.
He emphasised that the achievements recorded so far are a collective effort involving the government and the Nigerian people, adding that his administration remains committed to overcoming existing challenges.
“As we approach the third anniversary of this administration, we remain determined to build a brighter future for all Nigerians,” he said.
The President urged citizens to continue supporting government initiatives, stressing that unity and cooperation are essential to building a stronger, more prosperous nation.
